Mubil Hub in Zubieta is taking another step forward towards becoming an ecosystem covering the various areas of strategic knowledge associated with smart and sustainable mobility. The Vicomtech technology centre is joining MUBIL Hub in Zubieta right next to Mubil's permanent headquarters, now under construction, to manage a space earmarked for Connected, Cooperative, and Automated Mobility (CCAM). They join Cidetec, Tecnalia, and Ceit, which already announced last October that they will be part of Mubil Hub in Zubieta.

These new facilities are 50% financed by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and Vicomtech, and through them, the technology centre´s all research and development activities around smart mobility will be enhanced while deepening synergies with Mubil. Vicomtech has enjoyed strong growth around the ‘zero emissions and zero accidents’ model, with its involvement at the hub in Zubieta making it possible to move forward in this key area of smart mobility.  This is all happening against a backdrop of connected and automated vehicles (CAV) arriving on the scene, opening the door to a more healthy, safe, accessible, sustainable, profitable, and balanced transport paradigm.

Vicomtech's arrival lends more muscle and strength to the Mubil Hub, which is seeing its technological and research capacities reinforced in this area, driving competitiveness and positioning Gipuzkoa and Euskadi around smart and sustainable mobility on the international stage.
