MUBIL Mobility Awards - Projects

The MUBIL Mobility Awards continue to grow, consolidating their position as a leading platform for innovation in smart and sustainable mobility. The sixth edition has closed its call for applications with 65 submitted projects, the highest number since the awards were launched and a 6.5% increase compared to the previous edition.

The international dimension of the awards continues to expand. Almost half of all applications (44.6%) come from outside Spain, with projects submitted from 14 countries across Europe, the United States and India, confirming the growing appeal of the MUBIL ecosystem for startups and innovative companies worldwide. In addition, 10 projects come from the Basque Country and Navarre, while 26 have been submitted from other regions of Spain.

The proposals cover key areas driving the transformation of the mobility sector, including electric, connected, autonomous and shared mobility, as well as related infrastructure. Over the coming weeks, the Technical Committee will evaluate all applications to select the finalist projects.

With this edition, the MUBIL Mobility Awards have now received a total of 277 technology-based projects since their inception, reinforcing their position as one of Europe's leading initiatives for fostering innovative mobility solutions and connecting them with the Basque industrial and technological ecosystem.

The finalist projects will be announced on 22 September and will present their proposals before an expert jury on 22 October. The jury is made up of leading professionals from the fields of innovation, mobility, investment and technology entrepreneurship. The two winning projects will share €16,500 in prize money and will also receive an additional €18,500 in funding to further develop their solutions in collaboration with organisations from the Basque smart and sustainable mobility ecosystem. In addition, they will benefit from a 12-month workspace at MUBIL Center, visibility in specialised media, and the opportunity to showcase their work at MUBIL Mobility Expo, one of Europe's leading professional events for the mobility sector.
