5th Edition of the MUBIL Mobility Awards: Call for Applications Now Open
The call for applications for the 2025 MUBIL Mobility Awards is now open as of May 7. These awards, now in their fifth edition, recognise the most innovative projects in the field of smart and sustainable mobility. The application period will remain open until June 20.
The call for applications for the 2025 MUBIL Mobility Awards is now open as of May 7. These awards, now in their fifth edition, recognise the most innovative projects in the field of smart and sustainable mobility. The application period will remain open until June 20.
At MUBIL, our goal is to identify and promote technology-based proposals with transformative potential. Winning projects will receive €16,500 in prize money, plus an additional €18,500 in funding to help develop their solutions in collaboration with stakeholders from the Basque mobility ecosystem.
In addition to financial support, the winning teams will receive:
- A 12-month workspace at the MUBIL Center
- Media visibility through specialist channels
- Prominent presence at the MUBIL Mobility Expo, one of Europe’s leading professional mobility events
Last year, 56 projects applied, including 23 international entries. This year, we expect to once again attract high-level global participation.
The awards are aimed at technology-based projects in the following areas:
- Electric mobility
- Connected mobility
- Autonomous mobility
- Shared mobility
- Associated infrastructures
Awards Ceremony: October 23
The winners will be announced on October 23 during a final event that will close this fifth edition. The ceremony will reaffirm MUBIL’s commitment to driving innovative talent from Gipuzkoa.
Who won last year?
In 2024, the awards went to:
- Novac (Italy): for its solid-state supercapacitor technology to improve battery efficiency in electric vehicles.
- Battbelt (Gipuzkoa, Spain): for its mechanical compression system designed to extend battery lifespan.
