From November 4 to 6, Gipuzkoa will host the City Science Summit, the annual gathering of the City Science Network. Researchers and urban innovation experts from the world’s most prestigious labs (Cambridge, Hamburg, Shanghai, Toronto, Taipei…) will gather in Donostia to share their latest work in urban science, planning, technology, and public policy.

The 2026 City Science Summit will combine main-stage presentations, breakout sessions, workshops, and live demonstrations. This international gathering will also serve to showcase to the world the work carried out by the City Science Lab Gipuzkoa, a project developed by MUBIL and the MIT Media Lab to address the major urban challenges of sustainable mobility.

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to access, without leaving the region, a leading global community in urban innovation: learn firsthand about projects from other City Science Labs, connect with MIT researchers and international experts, and discover how other cities are tackling challenges that are also relevant to Gipuzkoa.
